OUR FACILITY

In 2006, the collection was moved to a permanent dedicated location that encompasses 150 meters2 located on the fifth floor of the newly renovated Hesler Biology Building in the center of University of Tennessee campus.

A series of 20 Eclipse powered Spacesaver compactors were purchased during the renovation and currently house the 40,000+ lots in the collection. The space afforded through the new location and compactors leaves the collection at 60% capacity providing it with substantial room for growth in the near future. Although the collection has changed its location 4 times over the course of its history, the specimens and the catalogue of specimens has remained comprehensive during this entire time.
